AI startup Wadle said on Jan. 29 it is supplying its conversational AI agent solution Gentu to South Korean ballet goods specialist shopping mall Eballeshop, providing a real-time customer consultation service tailored to ballet products.

Gentu narrows selection conditions and suggests suitable products by sequentially asking customers questions about user information, preferences and purpose, reflecting the many factors involved in ballet goods such as brand, use, age group, gender, fit and size.

Because choosing the right size is important for clothing that fits close to the body, it helps selection with a pre-trained height and weight-based guide. It provides information upon inquiry when details are difficult to show directly on product pages, such as products worn by a specific celebrity.

Wadle said that with Gentu, Eballeshop can handle 10,000 valid customer inquiries a month, or more than 300 a day on average, without adding customer support staff, and can respond to rising traffic.

Gentu is a multi-agent, SaaS-based solution that displays a floating button at the moment a customer is considering a purchase on an online shopping mall, identifies purchase intent through natural conversation like an experienced offline store clerk, and recommends products. Cho Yong-won (조용원), Wadle's co-founder and head of its U.S. subsidiary, said, "This collaboration with Eballeshop is a case that confirmed Gentu is effective even in niche markets that require expertise," adding, "The characteristics of each industry"
