LinkedIn will build a system that uses usage data from major AI apps to help users obtain official certification for AI skills, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 28.
The integration includes video and podcast editor Descript, coding app Lovable and Replit, and AI agent-building platform Relay.app.
Once obtained, the certification will appear on users’ LinkedIn profiles, helping them prove their skills in the job market. LinkedIn plans to expand cooperation to Gamma, GitHub and Zapier.
Hari Srinivasan (하리 시리니바산), LinkedIn’s vice president of product, said, "The most important skill today is the ability to use AI, and trust is more important than ever. More than 100 million professionals have verified their identity on LinkedIn, and with verified skills now added, users will have another way to demonstrate what they can actually do."
