Com2uS said on Jan. 28 it has wrapped up the fourth Unijam With Com2uS, held with Unidev, a nationwide association of university student game development clubs.
Unijam is an annual game jam hosted by Unidev in which participants form teams on the spot and create games fitting a theme within a limited time. It ran from Jan. 16 to 18 for three days. Com2uS took part as the title sponsor and supported overall operations.
The theme for this event was "K-RETRO", selected by Com2uS. It was intended to revive the inherent fun of games and combine Korean elements for an original reinterpretation. At the opening ceremony on Jan. 16, Hong Seung-jun (홍승준), head of Com2uS' Development Operations Center, attended and delivered opening remarks and presented the theme. Participants then worked closely with teammates and completed 12 games that approached the theme in a novel way.
The grand prize went to "Ulleora! Pansori" developed by Team "Hansori". Judges gave it high marks for enabling players to enjoy 9 mini-games at a fast pace, based on traditional stories such as classic fairy tales and pansori literature.
Com2uS is also pursuing various activities to expand the creative ecosystem that forms the foundation of the future game industry and to foster next-generation talent. It runs "Com2uS Campus", a job-specific education programme, the university student supporters programme "Com2uS Player", and the recruitment-linked "GENIUS Internship". Since 2024, it has also been working to discover talented people through the global game development contest "Com:On".
