[DigitalToday reporter Oh Sang-yup (오상엽)] Shinhan Investment Corp said on Jan. 28 it held a kickoff ceremony on Jan. 23 for the third cohort of its Sol-lution college student fan-consumer club.
Sol-lution is a college student participation program. It is designed for students to take part in practical processes with employees to work on Shinhan Investment Corp’s brand and services.
It also runs an employee mentoring program. It provides practical experience for college students interested in careers in the financial sector.
The third cohort consists of 20 members. They were selected through document screening and interviews conducted at the end of last year, with competition of about 37 to 1.
The participants will be active for about 3 months starting with the kickoff ceremony. All participants will receive a monthly activity stipend.
The top 1 team will receive a 2 million won award and exemption from the document screening stage for open recruitment of university-graduate entry-level employees. The 2 excellent teams will each receive a 1 million won award. The top 2 individual performers will also be offered a 3-month internship opportunity.
A Shinhan Investment Corp official said, "We plan to actively reflect the opinions of our college student customers in our services and brand to continuously improve the customer experience." The official added, "We expect this to be an opportunity for a virtuous cycle in which companies and college students grow together."
