OpenAI has launched Prism, an AI workspace that supports scientific research, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 27.
Prism is available free to anyone with a ChatGPT account. It is an AI-based tool that supports tasks ranging from writing research papers to verifying hypotheses.
Prism is deeply integrated with GPT-5.2. It enables research search, academic writing corrections and data visualization.
Prism is focused on helping human scientists conduct research quickly.
Kevin Weill (케빈 웨일), an OpenAI vice president, said, "Prism will accelerate the convergence of AI and science." He added, "A change like 2025, when AI transformed software development, will happen in science as well."
