Enterprise software company TmaxSoft said on Monday it recently held a companywide business strategy workshop at its headquarters in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi province, to share management goals and plans for the new year.

At the workshop on Jan. 26 attended by key executives and managers, Chief Executive Lee Hyeong-yong (이형용) stressed the need to “not miss growth opportunities opened by AI and to devote all efforts to developing ‘globally oriented AI and cloud-native products’ essential for opening new markets.”

He also urged participants to “clearly recognise the tasks faced in the era of a major AI transformation and to make this year, the company’s 29th anniversary, the first year of global business expansion by swiftly executing the newly established management strategy.”

TmaxSoft plans to pursue a profitability-based sustainable mid- to long-term strategy to secure future growth potential and new customers at the same time. It also aims to transition into a specialised global AI business platform company that supports enterprise AI innovation.

Starting this year, it will move to overhaul its structure as an AI and cloud-native company and actively carry out four key tasks. These are developing new products; diversifying customers to boost global sales, including in South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia; innovating its business model to expand subscription sales and AI-based platform revenue; and stepping up an open-source project for its JEUS application server.

First, it will diversify its AI- and cloud-focused product portfolio as a next-generation initiative aimed at laying the groundwork for global expansion. It will classify its lineup into six categories: application server, business framework, interface platform, mainframe modernisation solution, IT operations management software, and an AI business application development platform. The company said it will respond closely to varied customer needs and focus on developing AI products such as AI code assist, AI ops and AI frameworks, TEM products, and products using cloud and open-source technologies.

TmaxSoft recently began full-scale development of a tentatively named Continuum AI product, considering demand for AI B2B software that solves customers’ specific business problems or inefficiencies while realising “sovereign AI.” The Continuum AI product lineup consists of a business framework to accelerate corporate AI use, an Enterprise Manager IT integrated operations management software equipped with AI ops functions, a Code Intelligence AI analytics platform aimed at improving productivity, and an Application Transform AI transformation platform that modernises and redesigns application code.

Lee said the company will strengthen R&D and its business to be “AI-ready” and build global systems, and will expand collaborative partnerships in particular for AI solution development and related business. He added that it will make its best efforts this year to improve management efficiency and run plans that will generate tangible results.
