Vision AI company Siseon AI said on Jan. 27 that its robotics subsidiary, Youon Robotics, has completed development and prototype production of leader arm technology targeting the physical AI market. It plans to move toward commercialisation based on the work.
The company said Youon Robotics' leader arm technology is a platform specialised in collecting physical AI learning data for collaborative robots. It said the technology was developed with a focus on versatility and scalability, and can be customised and applied to products from various robotics companies or to needs at robot deployment sites.
A Youon Robotics official said, "We have completed development of the leader arm technology and finished all preparations needed for commercialisation, and are focusing our efforts on identifying customers and accelerating entry into the physical AI market." The official added, "By providing customised products optimised for each customer, we will secure a competitive edge in the next-generation physical AI market and strengthen corporate competitiveness through continuous advancement of the technology."
Youon Robotics is expanding the leader arm technology and is developing a mobile manipulator that combines AMR technology with robot-arm technology. A mobile manipulator is a robot that can move on its own, see objects, pick them up and manipulate them. The company is developing a dual-arm mobile manipulator equipped with 2 robot arms, aiming to complete a prototype by the end of this year.
