AI and data-based HR tech platform JobKorea said on Tuesday it will run a Youth Employment Academy job-linkage support programme to foster talent with digital convergence capabilities.
The programme, run jointly by JobKorea and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), is a project to connect training and jobs for about 2,000 people who want industry roles in software, digital transformation, e-commerce, content and entertainment through December this year. It focuses on promoting job matching so young job seekers can build practical skills and start their careers.
JobKorea will build an integrated job-support system combining online and offline services at 9 Youth Employment Academy campuses in Seoul: Seodaemun, Gwangjin, Gangbuk, Gwanak, Nowon, Eunpyeong, Gangnam, Songpa and Seocho. It will place professional job-support staff called “Job Coordinators” on site at each campus to provide close support for trainees. Job Coordinators help set career directions and establish job-search strategies, and they carry out activities such as one-on-one resume and personal-statement consulting, providing corporate interview information and managing job-search status.
Online, it will run a “Youth Employment Academy Talent Matching” portal to deliver job information for trainees. The portal will reflect job postings in real time from companies seeking to hire digital convergence talent, and it will also provide registration for a job-matching talent pool and various content so job seekers can get career tips. It will also support one-on-one career aptitude tests and give opportunities to take part first in planned job-linkage events.
It will also operate various company-linked programmes to expand trainees’ job opportunities. JobKorea will promote HR manager meetings, campus recruiting and recruitment briefings, and it will recruit companies to participate on an ongoing basis. For participating companies, it plans to support posting and applicant data management and tailored recruitment information based on its applicant tracking system (ATS).
Jeong Seung-il (정승일), head of JobKorea’s Education Services Business Division, said the company has completed systematic preparations to help strengthen practical capabilities of young talent who will lead the future and deliver employment outcomes. He said it will continue working to improve services to resolve job mismatches and raise the quality of job connections through online and offline activities.
