SurplusGlobal is putting a trading platform for legacy semiconductor equipment at the forefront. The company said on Monday it will take part in SEMICON KOREA 2026, to be held at COEX in Seoul from Feb. 11 to 13. At the exhibition, it will introduce its distribution strategy for legacy semiconductor equipment and parts centered on its global B2B marketplace SemiMarket.

SemiMarket is designed to let users search for and trade used semiconductor equipment and parts on a single platform. It directly links companies that hold equipment with companies that need it. At the exhibition, SurplusGlobal will unveil the trading structure for legacy semiconductor assets, its global seller-buyer network and its data-based matching method.

The company’s strategy is to advance SemiMarket into key infrastructure supporting a circular economy within the semiconductor industry. The market for semiconductor equipment and parts is inefficient, and sellers often scrap equipment and parts stored in warehouses as junk. Buyers often cannot obtain the parts they need, leaving them unable to run equipment.

SurplusGlobal has built a business model to redistribute used and idle equipment and parts in the global market that arise during the advancement of semiconductor processes and generational shifts, based on its competitiveness from trading more than 60,000 used semiconductor tools over 26 years.

SurplusGlobal Chief Executive Jungwoong Kim (김정웅) said SEMICON KOREA 2026 brings together global semiconductor industry officials in one place, and the company plans to show directly through SemiMarket how legacy semiconductor equipment and parts can be connected to new value. He said the company will raise both transparency and efficiency in the distribution market for semiconductor equipment and parts through a platform-centered trading structure.
