Fintech company Pinda said on Jan. 27 it is recruiting for an AI residency student track (AI AGENT) to secure practical AI talent.
The AI residency student track is a programme for undergraduate and master’s-level candidates. Pinda said it focuses on a practical track that automates and redesigns real on-the-job problems with AI in the finance and fintech domain, rather than a simple research- and study-centred training programme.
The recruitment will run for four months, consisting of a five-week AI residency and a three-month internship. During the AI residency, participants will closely analyse business architecture, data pipelines and the company’s AI infrastructure. They will then use large language models (LLM) and Python to build a proof-of-concept model that can be used immediately and can be expanded.
The hiring process consists of document screening and a technical interview, and the programme assumes full-time participation for four months, five days a week and eight hours a day. Participants will receive a separate 1,000,000 won bonus if they pass the five-week residency evaluation. Pinda also said it will support participants in strengthening their AI work capabilities through close mentoring with senior developers and business teams and regular reviews.
Jae-kyung Lee (이재경), head of human resources at Pinda, said, "Pinda’s AI residency recruitment is a programme designed so that undergraduate and master’s-level students can grow into practical talent by directly using AI to automate and redesign real business problems." He added, "This recruitment will be a turning point that changes the way Pinda works, and will be a hands-on stage where next-generation AI-native talent can grow the fastest."
