Cafe24, a global e-commerce platform, said on Jan. 27 that average daily orders increased 250 percent after it supported agricultural corporation Ograe through the "K-Manufacturing Smart E-commerce Innovation Project". Over the same period, the number of users rose 180 percent.
Founded in 2014, Ograe is a manufacturer specializing in brown rice processed foods and protein shakes. It holds a "patented puffing method" that preserves grain nutrition using only heat and pressure without oil. Of its 13.7 billion won in total revenue last year, 90 percent came from contract manufacturing such as ODM and OEM, but its own brand, Ograemall, had limits in promoting its technology to consumers due to a lack of internal capacity.
Cafe24 said it fully revamped Ograe's detailed product pages and packaging design through its "Cafe24 Enterprise" service so consumers can intuitively recognize Ograe's patented technology and the content of domestically produced ingredients. It applied an approach centered on its flagship Ograepong series to clearly convey ingredient quality and nutritional advantages.
As a result, the conversion rate (CVR) improved by about 23 percent.
Ograe CEO Jong-hyun Jang (장종현) said, "Our manufacturing philosophy and patented technology that we have upheld for more than 10 years have finally started to be properly conveyed to consumers after meeting Cafe24's professional e-commerce solutions."
Cafe24 CEO Jae-seok Lee (이재석) said, "We will continue to strengthen technical support so that excellent specialized manufacturers can successfully establish themselves in the direct-to-consumer market through their own online malls and accelerate global growth."
