GovTech firm Wello said on Monday it delivered donations raised through its 'Wello Local Festa 2025' event to the Beautiful Hope Sharing community programme run by the Beautiful Store Foundation.
The funds were raised through a hands-on programme called the 'motivation vending machine' that was run at the event site in November last year. The event was designed to help people experience the hometown love donation system. Under the scheme, Wello set aside 1,000 won when a user was recognised by palm scan, raising a total of 2 million won.
The donated money will be used for public-interest activities aimed at driving change in local communities, including addressing blind spots, revitalising communities and responding to the climate crisis.
Wello Chief Executive Yuri Anna Kim (김유리안나) said, "Value is completed when the interest and warmth formed through policy participation are returned to society." She added, "We will fulfil our role as a GovTech company that lowers barriers to policy participation through technology and links it to action."
