Woori Bank held its in-house job fair, 'Woori Career EXPO (Woori Career EXPO 2nd)', at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, on Jan. 24 to improve employees' understanding of jobs and support internal career planning, it said on Jan. 26.

A total of 36 job counselling booths were run at the venue. About 130 incumbent staff from head-office departments took part to provide job and career consultations to employees.

The event diversified counselling areas to broaden career support for employees. It expanded a mentoring programme for top sales staff and added specialists in corporate finance, wealth management and pensions, who offered consultations based on on-site know-how.

It also newly operated booths for global specialists with work experience in various countries and counselling booths related to the bank's autonomous learning communities (CoP). The venue held special lectures on career development programmes for 30 minutes every hour to provide guidance on the overall system and how to use it.

Nan-young Kim (김난영), a manager in the Talent Development Department who planned the event, said the programme was designed to reflect employees' opinions and demand and was a practical help for employees who are preparing to apply for head-office department postings or are interested. She said the bank will continue to regularly run tailored career support programmes so employees can plan their own careers and grow.
