CJ OnStyle, the commerce division of CJ ENM, said on Jan. 26 it will openly recruit new and experienced show hosts (sellers) for 2026 through Feb. 5. The hiring drive is a large-scale recruitment effort, the first in about three years since 2023.
The recruitment focuses on finding talent with sales skills in a "show" format that goes beyond product introductions by combining content planning and expressive ability. The company said it aims to develop professionals who can propose customer preferences and lifestyles as commerce blurs the boundary between channels such as mobile and TV live broadcasts.
There are no limits on age or education, and anyone can apply if they have no issues with overseas business trips. Applications will be accepted from Jan. 26 to Feb. 5 on CJ Group's recruitment website.
The selection process moves from document screening to a camera test, a first-round basic competency assessment, a second-round professional competency assessment, and an executive interview. In the professional competency stage, the company plans to comprehensively assess product understanding, the ability to respond to real-world commerce situations, and content planning skills.
Final successful candidates will complete a structured training program of about 9 weeks and then begin activities through CJ OnStyle's various channels as early as June this year.
A CJ OnStyle official said, "It is becoming important not only to have sales capabilities, but also the ability to communicate with customers within content." The official added, "We look forward to applications from talent who will provide a new shopping experience across various channels."
