Shinhan Investment said on Jan. 26 it held a coal briquette-sharing volunteer activity for employees on Jan. 23 in Gaemi Village, Hongje-dong, Seodaemun district, Seoul.
Employees took part in the activity and delivered a total of 1,000 briquettes directly to 5 energy-vulnerable households.
Participants delivered the briquettes by hand. They checked on the living conditions of neighbours struggling with winter heating and delivered warm messages of support.
A Shinhan Investment official said, "We wanted to practise social responsibility through volunteer activities in which employees participate together." The official added, "We will continue to expand ESG activities beyond our core financial business."
