AI technology finance firm PFCT said on Monday it has successfully concluded the third PFCT AI Credit Scoring Academy, held for 5 days from Jan. 19 to 23 at its headquarters in Seocho district, Seoul.

Now in its third session, the academy is not limited to AI credit scoring modelling. It broadly covered how financial AI is used in decision-making, including risk management and interest rate and credit limit strategies at financial companies.

Training centred on AIRPACK, PFCT’s AI risk management solution supplied to major domestic savings banks and card companies. It covered core principles for developing AI credit scoring models, model design and validation based on de-identified financial data, analysis of interest rate and risk strategies, and cases of AI risk management and strategy applications at financial institutions.

It also addressed PFCT’s in-house AI agent platform and how it uses LLMs. The sessions deepened understanding of how AI technology is embedded across financial firms’ work processes and boosts operational efficiency. On the final day, graduates took part in a hands-on programme through an AIRPACK game day, simulating AI credit scoring and interest rate strategies in an online lending market environment using de-identified financial data.

Undergraduate and graduate students from various majors, including financial engineering, statistics and industrial engineering, participated in the academy. PFCT’s technology specialist consultants, working AI developers and data analysts designed and ran the programme. PFCT plans to offer top graduates opportunities to take part in real projects with financial companies through internships.
