Naver’s streaming platform Chzzk unveiled its second-anniversary performance and a 2026 service roadmap.

On Jan. 26, Naver said it held a meeting for partner streamers on Jan. 25 at its 1784 headquarters. The event shared plans to secure popular intellectual property rights, including the Winter Olympics and the World Cup, and measures to strengthen donation features.

Chzzk posted solid growth last year. Total viewing time rose 28 percent from 2024 to 51 billion minutes, and the number of chat messages increased 37 percent to more than 4 billion. During the League of Legends World Championship in November, it reached a peak of 760,000 concurrent users, with both engagement and viewing metrics rising.

Service upgrades also continued. It improved the app’s menu structure and introduced Live Time Machine, added radio mode and launched the Chzzk TV app to improve user convenience. It also opened a support center for streamers and diversified chat modes.

This year it aims to expand viewer inflows through major sports events. Starting with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in February, it plans to secure popular IP including the North America World Cup and EWC LCK to strengthen the co-viewing experience. To this end, it will strengthen integration with Naver app services and enhance broadcast notification functions.

Streamer commerce will also be introduced to energise the donation economy. The streamer shop, to be launched in February, is a service that supports merchandise sales by linking Smart Store with channels. Naver plans early-bird events such as discounts on merchandise production costs for partner streamers.
