[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] AI-based hiring solutions company Checkr launched an identity verification (Identity Verification, IDV) function.
SiliconANGLE reported on March 4 that the Checkr IDV solution supports real-time verification of applicants during hiring to block potential fraud early.
Unlike fragmentary existing identity checks, IDV is integrated across the hiring process and continuously verifies applicants' identities. The company stressed that this can effectively block various fraud attempts such as fake applicants, bots and location manipulation.
Checkr said IDV uses AI-based biometrics, device and network analysis, and document forensics to detect identity forgery. It detects fake selfies, location mismatches and forged IDs, and halts background checks if verification fails to reduce additional costs. Checkr said early tests showed IDV detected unexpected locations, name mismatches and submission of fake selfies.
