AI digital healthcare company Stress Solution said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with broadcast content producer January Corporation to jointly develop an "AI-based variety platform."

The agreement centres on applying Stress Solution's biometric data analysis and AI sound solution technology to a new terrestrial TV sports variety programme, "Bowlingvengers" (working title), to deliver an immersive viewing experience different from existing sports variety shows.

The two companies plan to introduce a new variety format that expands content beyond narratives focused on sports results to include performers' condition and mental state.

Stress Solution will analyse changes in performers' tension levels, immersion and condition flow based on heart rate and electrocardiogram (ECG) data, using its mental care and stress management technology. Through its personalised sound solution, HealingBeats, it will support stress management and maintaining focus. It will also take charge of developing a system that uses AI to comprehensively analyse movement patterns, judgement rhythm and changes in focus flow.

Baek Ik-ryeol (배익렬), CEO of Stress Solution, said the company has drawn attention in the sports industry by working with the professional basketball team Seoul SK Knights to apply player condition management and mental data analysis technology in the field. He said the company will focus on implementing technology so that biometric data analysis developed in healthcare can combine with sports variety shows and expand into a new content experience in which viewers can naturally feel emotion and immersion.
