Shinhan Bank said on Thursday it opened a refund service for sole proprietors to improve customer convenience, allowing them to claim overpaid employment and industrial accident insurance premiums.
The service lets business owners check and apply for refunds of overpaid premiums that occurred after they paid employment and industrial accident insurance premiums, including overpayments due to reporting total remuneration, changes in worker eligibility and reflecting changes in premium rates, or mistaken duplicate payments.
The service is available through the Public Services Enjoyment platform within Shinhan SOL Bank. It allows users to check and apply for refunds for overpaid employment and industrial accident insurance premiums made within the past 3 years.
A Shinhan Bank official said the service was expected to help sole proprietor customers confirm overpaid insurance premiums more easily and conveniently. The official said the bank would continue to expand digital services that help customers find hidden assets and improve convenience in using financial and administrative services.
