iM Bank said on Thursday it has signed a multilateral agreement on shared growth and cooperation with Yeungnam University and the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a way to put ESG management into practice by spreading ESG values in the local community and building a sustainable ecosystem.

Under the pact, the institutions plan to lead efforts to strengthen ESG management through ongoing exchanges, including information sharing and cooperation on education and research for local companies’ growth and sustainable management, joint 추진 of sustainable social activities, and cooperation to spread ESG values in the community and jointly practice ESG.

Bank President Jeong-hoon Kang (강정훈) said he expects stronger networks among leading local institutions will help spread social value by enabling them to foster local talent and provide real momentum for corporate growth. He said the bank will also work to support a virtuous cycle in the local economy and build an effective sustainable finance system.
