Sh Suhyup Bank said on Jan. 23 it delivered 10,000,000 won in funding to the Withcan Welfare Foundation on Jan. 22 to support local community welfare projects.

About 20 officials attended the funding handover ceremony held at the Gangnam Self-Sufficiency Center in Seoul, including Lee Jun-seok (이준석), deputy head of Sh Suhyup Bank's Corporate Group, and Lee Jong-hwa (이종화), secretary general of the Withcan Welfare Foundation.

The Withcan Welfare Foundation runs local community welfare projects through the Gangnam Self-Sufficiency Center and 30 institutions in the Seoul metropolitan area. The funds are set to be used for child care and support for elderly people living alone and low-income groups who can be easily overlooked.

Sh Suhyup Bank has delivered 10,000,000 won a year in development funding to the foundation since 2023 to share warm feelings with neighbours and contribute to expanding giving in the community.

Lee Jun-seok said, "I sincerely hope this development support fund will help local community welfare activities so that more children and older people can pursue their dreams and contribute to the community."

Lee Jong-hwa said, "It is even more meaningful that Sh Suhyup Bank's warm 마음 can be delivered to children and elderly people in vulnerable groups in the community." He added, "We will continue to do our best to exert a positive influence to expand sharing and deliver the benefits of giving to more places."
