KB Kookmin Bank said on Wednesday it will hold the 'KB Star Run' marathon on May 3 to promote sharing through running.

The event will start at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul and follow a course running around the Han River area. Participants can choose either a 5 km or 10 km course. They can apply individually or as a crew of up to 4 people.

The entry fee is 30,000 won per individual or per crew. The full amount will be donated to global children's rights NGO Good Neighbors and used for child support projects.

Applications will be accepted through the KB Star Banking event until March 22. Any KB Star Banking customer aged 17 or older can take part, and a total of 6,000 people will be selected by lottery.

Participants will receive a goods package including a running T-shirt, a ready bag and socks. All finishers will receive a medal and commemorative goods.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We hope many customers will join this marathon and enjoy both health and the value of sharing." The official added, "We will continue various social contribution activities that can create social value together with customers."
