Hana Bank said on Wednesday it has fully revamped its existing open API platform and officially launched a new brand, Hana API On.
The revamp was 추진 to improve service quality and customer satisfaction as Hana Bank's API services are used more than 56 million times a month on average.
Hana API On provides Hana Bank's key financial services and data in the form of APIs. It is designed to allow various companies, including fintech startups, to link financial functions to their own services. It focuses on improving convenience by considering development and operating environments.
It introduced a testbed that enables pre-verification under conditions similar to actual operating environments, minimising development errors and improving service stability. It revamped the platform's overall UI and UX to make the process more intuitive, from browsing APIs to applying for use, authentication procedures and checking guides. It also supports mobile web access to improve accessibility.
It also provides key APIs to improve partners' business efficiency. These include offering real-time exchange rates for 58 currencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; enabling checks of credit loan limits for various products without logging in and without submitting documents; and supporting non-face-to-face account opening through affiliated platform channels.
A Hana Bank official said it is a platform that connects finance and industry based on openness and connectivity in the digital era. The official said the bank will continue to expand cooperation with startups and partner companies.
