SOOP said on Wednesday it will live-stream major events featuring South Korea’s team at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Paralympics, to be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from March 7 to 16.
The Winter Paralympics, first launched in Sweden in 1976, is the largest international winter sports event for athletes with disabilities held every 4 years. It marks its 50th anniversary this year. South Korea will send a 56-member delegation, including 20 athletes, competing in five sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and wheelchair curling.
SOOP plans to live-stream key events in which South Korea’s team competes. The events can be watched through the Paralympics’ official broadcast, and will also be available on streamer channels within the platform.
SOOP previously broadcast the 2024 Paris Paralympics. In cooperation with the Korea Paralympic Committee, it has produced and live-streamed the National Sports Games for the Disabled for 2 consecutive years.
