SK Telecom said on Thursday it will hold an event inviting 169 occupational safety and health partner companies to thank them for their work over the past year and to share the direction of cooperation.

The event, held on Thursday at SKT Tower in Euljiro, will be attended by SKT executives including Ryu Jung-hwan (류정환), SKT chief safety and health officer (CSPO), and Choi Hoon-won (최훈원), head of the safety and health office, as well as representatives and officials from companies selected as top occupational safety and health partners.

At the event, SKT plans to share its 2026 safety and health win-win cooperation plan with participating partners and pledge to faithfully follow fundamentals and principles of “unshakable, solid safety” at work sites.

SKT plans to support partners with various programmes to strengthen their safety capabilities, including advanced safety training, one-on-one customised on-site consulting, operation of a safety experience training centre and a safety contest for partner companies.

SKT will also hold an awards ceremony selecting 11 participating companies as the best in practicing safety and health. It will present top awards to 8 exemplary firms that strictly followed safety rules during night-time road excavation and pipeline relocation work or during cable pulling inside manholes at depths of 2.5 metres or more, and to 3 outstanding firms that responded immediately in situations where worker safety could be at risk.

Ryu said SKT will continue to support strengthening safety and health capabilities for partner-company employees, based on the recognition that partner safety is SKT’s safety. He added SKT will continue to enhance AI safety technology and training content and systems to support safety at work sites.
