KB Financial Group said on Tuesday it will run a participatory event for customers who love its flagship character Star Friends at the KB ART Gallery in the new building of KB Kookmin Bank in Yeouido through Feb. 3.

The event is designed to help visitors to the ongoing Star Friends special exhibition, titled "Once upon a time: The Tale of a Star," experience the exhibition content more closely and enjoy completing their own collection.

To take part, visitors must go to the special exhibition at the KB ART Gallery in the new building of KB Kookmin Bank in Yeouido and collect at least 8 of 16 types of character illustration event postcards available at the venue. Participation is completed by uploading a proof photo of the collected postcards to an Instagram account with required hashtags.

KB Financial will draw winners from those who complete the challenge and give limited-edition goods to a total of 30 people, including framed exhibition works and Star Friends character plush dolls.

The event postcards feature Star Friends illustrations reinterpreted as main characters from classic fairy tales and novels such as The Little Prince, Pinocchio and Sherlock Holmes. The postcards will be distributed sequentially on different schedules during the event period, and a special day will also be held when all types can be collected at once. The postcards will be distributed in a limited run of 2,800, with 200 available per day.

A KB Financial official said, "We prepared this event by combining an offline exhibition with an experiential event so customers can naturally immerse themselves in the worldview of Star Friends, the group's flagship character." The official added, "We will continue to deliver new enjoyment and rich value to customers through various attempts that combine culture and art with finance."
