Remember & Co, which operates the business networking service Remember, said on Tuesday it will formally launch Remember Connect, adding business social networking functions.
Remember Connect is a real-name-based business social network where users can freely communicate on work-related topics, ranging from industry trends to job know-how, organisational management experience and career concerns.
The company said more than 1 million users participated during the beta stage, which launched in September last year as a people search service, showing rapid growth.
Through the formal launch, Remember will accelerate its expansion into a business social network beyond business card management and recruitment. It plans to build a large business networking hub that connects 5 million members in real time across various jobs and industries, without being limited to specific occupations.
Choi Jae-ho (최재호), chief executive overseeing Remember, said, "Remember will now evolve into a living space where office workers' thoughts and experiences are exchanged." He added, "We will foster an ecosystem where office workers share new insights every day and grow together, so that Remember will establish itself as South Korea's leading business networking hub."
