Gravity has declared 2026 the first year of building a Ragnarok Hub.

On Jan. 21, Gravity unveiled a mid- to long-term business vision to raise the value of the Ragnarok intellectual property (IP) and complete it as a culture. Starting this year, it plans major title launches, genre diversification and expanded esports tournaments. It aims to boost IP loyalty and brand value.

A key lineup title is the MMORPG “Ragnarok 3,” which continues the original as an official numbered sequel. Reinterpreting the original graphics and background music in a modern style, the game drew favorable reviews in a recent test after showcasing a large-scale GVG siege battle. A highlight video has surpassed 1.5 million views, adding to expectations.

“RO Ragnarok: World Jiryeo,” launched on Jan. 15 in Taiwan and the Hong Kong-Macau region, has succeeded in early box office performance. The game, the IP’s first open-world MMORPG, topped Apple App Store sales rankings in 3 regions immediately after release.

Next titles in the pipeline include “Ragnarok Abyss” and “Ragnarok Online Project 1.5 (tentative).” Ragnarok Abyss, an open-world action MMORPG, is currently taking pre-registrations in Southeast Asia. Project 1.5 introduced a parallel universe setting and emphasized large-scale battle content.

It is also strengthening its esports business. Gravity is expanding user touchpoints through the global offline festival “Ragnarok Festa.” About 13,000 visitors attended an event held in Thailand last year. It also plans to roll out various offline events, including exhibitions and concerts.

A Gravity official said, “2026 is an important starting point for realizing the Ragnarok Hub,” adding, “We will continue to expand the IP experience so it can establish itself as a culture beyond games.”
