NH Investment & Securities said on Tuesday the number of its high-net-worth clients with at least 3 billion won in assets has surpassed 6,000.

As of Jan. 14, the number of high-net-worth clients with at least 3 billion won stood at 6,323, up 51 percent from the end of 2024. The total assets of NH Investment & Securities' wealth management (WM) division rose by about 20 trillion won from a year earlier.

The "family office service", a platform for managing ultra-high-net-worth families, currently serves 229 families, up 61 percent from the end of 2024. About 35 percent of new clients moved assets from other firms or were newly acquired clients. The current threshold for joining the family office is around 30 billion won.

The WM division plans to provide a "total solution" covering a family’s full life cycle, including inheritance and gift tax consulting, business succession, real estate consulting, and support for setting up foundations and family corporations.

Baek Gwang-su (배광수), head of NH Investment & Securities' WM division, said, "This performance is the result of continuously providing a complete wealth management service." He said the firm would further enhance its VIP service for high-net-worth clients and its family office service to become a leading wealth management house in Asia.
