NH NongHyup Bank said on Tuesday it will revamp its counselling counters for older people and people with disabilities into consideration counters for financially vulnerable customers from Jan. 26. It will expand eligibility to pregnant women and guardians accompanied by infants and young children. Guardians accompanied by infants and young children refer to customers with children aged 7 or under.
The consideration counters for financially vulnerable customers have provided tailored services for older and disabled customers who have difficulty using financial services. The services include easy-to-understand explanations of complex financial products and product guidance based on each customer’s circumstances.
The revamp will allow pregnant women and guardians accompanied by infants and young children to use the counters. Depending on branch conditions, the bank also plans to provide a service that prioritises simple tasks to reduce waiting times.
Park Jang-soon (박장순), head of NH NongHyup Bank's financial consumer protection division, said, "We will continue to improve the system so that all customers, including financially vulnerable customers, can use financial services more conveniently." He added, "We will continue to practise inclusive finance centred on customers."
