Semiconductor design house AD Technology has obtained international information security standard certification. AD Technology said on Tuesday it received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security. The certification covers IT operations and infrastructure management supporting semiconductor design services. The British Standards Institution (BSI) issued the certification.
AD Technology said it has upgraded its information asset protection and risk management systems to meet stringent security requirements during collaboration with global semiconductor customers. It said the certification prompted it to overhaul key control items such as access rights management, change management and incident response in line with international standards.
The company systematised security management processes across IT operations and infrastructure. It also laid the groundwork to proactively manage security risks that could arise during collaboration. The company said this enables it to meet security standards required in global collaboration environments.
AD Technology said it plans to continue operating its security management system after the certification. It will regularise internal audits, risk inspections and employee security training. It will also gradually push ahead with follow-up management activities such as security risk assessment and upgrades to internal controls. The company said it aims to expand customer trust through these efforts.
AD Technology CEO Jun-gyu Park (박준규) said, "Information security is an essential requirement because a design house conducts business based on customers' information assets." He added, "With ISO/IEC 27001 certification, we have further strengthened the security operations system needed for global collaboration." Park said, "We will upgrade the information asset protection system across the full lifecycle of design, collaboration and operations, and link information security and risk management capabilities to sales competitiveness."
