KT said on Dec. 9 it won the large company prize at the second Safety Culture Innovation Awards organised by the Korea Employers Federation.
It was recognised for building a safety and health management system aligned with domestic and international standards and for expanding a labour‑management cooperation‑based safety culture.
KT advanced its safety and health system by improving corporate culture, operating under certifications for legal compliance, and increasing safety investment. It obtained ISO 45001 certification in 2023 and secured KOSHA‑MS certification in the general construction sector in 2025.
Its AI‑based All‑in Safety system integrates management of construction safety conditions. It predicts and analyses the full work process in real time to block risks early. Video‑based site monitoring and automated pre‑work safety briefings remove hazards in advance.
Support for partner firms also increased. KT operates programmes such as tailored consulting and safety equipment support for partners. It built a company‑wide safety culture involving both the group and partner firms.
KT plans to continue improving aged and vulnerable facilities and providing safety support for group units and partner firms.
KT Vice President Im Hyun‑gyu said the company will work to create a safer and healthier workplace and achieve zero serious accidents.
