Ethernovia has raised $90 million in funding and will move to develop next-generation packet processors, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 20 local time.

Founded in 2018, Ethernovia has developed high-performance Ethernet network chips and supplied them for vehicles and edge devices.

The company’s chips intelligently manage data generated by cameras, radar, lidar, control units and AI accelerators to help maintain low latency and high reliability. Its product lineup includes high-performance Ethernet transceivers and packet processors that support multi-gigabit speeds over a single cable.

Automakers and system developers can use the platform to build networks that can be updated and reconfigured over a product’s life.

Ramin Shirani (라민 시라니), Ethernovia’s co-founder and CEO, said, "The industry is entering the era of physical AI, and existing networks cannot handle AI-driven workloads." He said, "Our platform overcomes these limitations to simplify vehicle system design and support the expansion of autonomous driving."
