LG Electronics has unveiled a clothing care solution with an added ironing function. LG Electronics said on Jan. 20 it will launch “LG System Ironing,” which combines a steam iron, handy steamer and styling board into one. It is expanding its clothing care appliance lineup beyond washing, drying, sanitising, deodorising and styling to include ironing.

The product focuses on minimising fabric damage while improving ease of use. Micro high-pressure steam quickly smooths wrinkles deep in fibres, and it sanitises harmful bacteria at high temperature by up to 99.99 percent. It offers 7 dedicated courses that vary steam temperature depending on materials such as cotton, wool and rayon.

To address issues such as clothes sticking to the ironing board or being pushed by the iron during ironing, it applies an “active styling board” function. A fan built into the styling board blows air to lift clothes or sucks in air to hold them in place. It allows stable ironing even for thin, fluttery materials. The board cover can be removed and washed, and the board can be folded vertically for storage.

It also considers ease of operation and mobility. Electronic buttons allow users to adjust the styling board height. A 4.3-inch LCD touch display on the board lets users choose steam temperature, wind strength and ironing courses. It has 4 wheels at the bottom so it can be moved and used anywhere in the home.

LG Electronics also recently unveiled 5-item and 3-item models of the “2026 NEW LG Styler Objet Collection.” The 5-item Styler combines AI to improve ease of use. The AI learns and analyses garment weight data and suggests optimal styling and drying time courses based on weight. It adjusts steam volume and temperature accordingly, providing customised care in about 29 minutes for shirts, about 39 minutes for sweatshirts or jackets, and up to 53 minutes for long coats or padded jackets.

The shipping price for “LG System Ironing” is 2.99 million won. The 5-item “LG Styler Objet Collection” is priced at 1.59 million won to 2.69 million won, and the 3-item version at 1.49 million won to 1.84 million won. The release date is Jan. 26.
