[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Saramin said on Tuesday that the number of job applications last year topped 55 million.

The company said job applications submitted through Saramin totalled 55 million last year, while job posting views reached 700 million. It said 2.2 million job seekers applied, meaning they conducted job-hunting activities through Saramin an average of 25 times per person.

The company said the result came from focusing on launching new services targeting both job seekers and companies and on advancing AI technology.

Saramin introduced the career open market, Saramin Store, last year. Saramin Store allows users with a range of experience from junior to senior levels to trade their experience and know-how directly and buy and sell everything needed for job preparation.

A Saramin official said, "Indicators such as large-scale job applications and job offers made through Saramin over the past year, including more than 50 million cumulative monthly active users, show that the recruitment market is moving around Saramin." The official added, "Based on solid leadership in the career platform business and advanced AI technology, we will also successfully lead expansion into a life platform and make a leap to become a platform that accompanies the national life cycle."
