The Korea Fintech Industry Association said on Jan. 20 it appointed Bidax CEO Ryu Hong-ryeol as its new vice chairman at a regular board meeting on Jan. 16.

Bidax is a digital asset prime brokerage company that supports the use of domestic and overseas digital asset exchanges without asset transfers. It supports institutional clients in operating digital assets more efficiently through trade settlement and payment functions.

It also appointed 8percent CEO Lee Hyo-jin and Zzulgoun CEO Lim Kwan-woong as new directors.

8percent is a fintech company focused on mid-rate loans, including online investment-linked finance and P2P finance. It operates a financial platform that connects individual and corporate investors with mid- and low-credit borrowers based on data-driven credit evaluation and risk management capabilities.

Zzulgoun is a mobile coupon specialist that converts products from about 420 domestic brands into mobile coupons through its platform, Smilecon Admin, and sells them to more than about 500 companies in the business-to-business market, Kakao, social media and open markets.
