Apple’s next flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Fold, have been shown in a leaked video revealing their design and specifications, fueling anticipation ahead of a planned September 2026 release. The leak lays out details including colors, front design and key specifications, drawing interest from consumers and the industry.

PhoneArena, an IT media outlet, and leaker Jon Prosser said on Jan. 16 that the iPhone 18 Pro keeps a design similar to the current model but shows visual changes, including a shift in the position of the Dynamic Island at the top of the display and the addition of new colors. The video also shows key structure and specifications for the foldable iPhone Fold.

The iPhone 18 Pro is being tested in burgundy, brown and purple, and could be released alongside existing silver, orange and blue. The front camera moves to the top left, and Face ID is expected to be hidden under the screen. The Dynamic Island keeps its functions but shifts to the top left, offering users a new interface experience.

On specifications, the iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, an A20 Pro processor, an N2 wireless chip, a C2 modem, 12 GB of RAM, a 48-megapixel triple rear camera, an 18-megapixel front camera and an aluminium body. The iPhone 18 Pro Max uses a 6.9-inch display and a smaller Dynamic Island, with performance and design similar to the Pro model but designed to broaden consumer choice.

The iPhone Fold features a 7.8-inch main display and a 5.3-inch secondary screen, an A20 Pro processor, an N2 wireless network chip, a C2 modem and 12 GB of RAM. It carries a 48-megapixel dual rear camera and 18-megapixel cameras for the front and cover, while security shifts to Touch ID instead of Face ID. It uses a crease-free foldable display and a titanium-aluminium mix, improving durability.

The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Fold are expected to be unveiled in September 2026. The standard iPhone 18 model and the next-generation iPhone Air are likely to be delayed to 2027. The leaked information is based on an internal supply chain and has some credibility, but the final design and specifications could change before launch.

The leak has outlined detailed specifications and design for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Fold, but consumers need to be cautious until they can confirm the final products. The Fold model, as a first generation, will inevitably involve some compromises, including a high-price policy, the absence of Face ID and the camera setup. Apple’s new product unveiling is expected to have a big impact on the premium smartphone market and competition in foldables.
