Lee Kwang-hee, CEO of SC First Bank, said on Sunday he would take part in a relay campaign to eradicate illegal gambling among teenagers.
The campaign began in March last year under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Under the slogan, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers is a scam crime you can never win," it is a nationwide relay campaign aimed at preventing youth gambling problems and spreading awareness of its seriousness and risks.
Lee joined the campaign after being nominated by Jeong Sang-hyeok, CEO of Shinhan Bank, and recommended Kang Tae-young, CEO of NH NongHyup Bank, as the next participant.
Lee said illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers is an issue that everyone should pay attention to and work to eradicate. He said SC First Bank would continue to fulfill its social responsibilities, including youth financial education, alongside its core financial role such as measures to prevent financial fraud, to protect teenagers and help them experience a sound financial culture.
