Video technology services company Catenoid said on Tuesday it aims to connect its short-form video platform Charlla with VIIMstudio.ai, a global AI content production platform operated by Viceverse, within this year.

VIIMstudio.ai is a generative AI-based B2B video production platform that can be used across industries including fashion, beauty and food. It can produce short-form content using AI without studio rental, model casting or filming, allowing companies to quickly secure marketing videos from the product planning stage.

The companies plan to combine VIIMstudio.ai's AI video production capabilities with Charlla's publishing and purchase conversion optimisation functions to build an integrated short-form commerce environment where production, exposure and purchases connect without interruption. Brands can upload AI videos produced on VIIMstudio.ai directly to the Charlla platform and post them immediately to shopping malls, while consumers can move naturally from viewing a video to making a purchase.

Catenoid CEO Hyeong-seok Kim (김형석) said, "Even though short-form has established itself as a core competitive edge in e-commerce, video production remains a high barrier to entry for many brands." He added, "Starting with this cooperation with VIIMstudio.ai, we will expand AI partnerships to create an environment where anyone can boost marketing efficiency with short-form."
