IBK Industrial Bank of Korea said on Jan. 19 it participated in CES 2026 in Las Vegas from Jan. 6 to 9 local time. It operated a standalone booth, the only domestic bank to do so, and supported venture startups' global expansion.
At the IBK Innovation Hall, the bank introduced IBK's innovation finance, including a new technology evaluation system, a K-content investment process and an ESG precision diagnosis system. It also operated the booth with 7 promising startups to support their entry into global markets. Through the IBK Changgong Hall set up at KOTRA's integrated Korea pavilion, it also supported exhibition operations for 15 startups.
At CES, a technology evaluation system that predicts a company's future growth potential based on big data and AI drew visitors' attention.
Roh Yong-seok, first vice minister at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, also visited the IBK Innovation Hall. He heard explanations of IBK's innovation finance system and the innovative technologies and services of 7 promising startups, and showed strong interest.
Lee Dae-seung, CEO of Portray, which operated a promotional booth at the IBK Innovation Hall, said, "During CES we held meetings with VCs and partners, and we achieved tangible results such as a sharp rise in U.S. visitors to our company website." He added, "We will use the valuable experience and confidence gained this time as a bridgehead for future global expansion."
An IBK official said, "CES 2026 was a meaningful time to introduce IBK's innovation finance system and, through it, the technological capabilities of our companies discovered via the system to the world." The official added, "We plan to continue providing support so innovative companies can strengthen their competitiveness in global markets."
