Hong Beom-sik (홍범식), CEO of LG Uplus, showed strong interest in Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S26 series and next-generation devices. Samsung Electronics President Roh Tae-moon (노태문) introduced the latest technologies, including displays and extended reality (XR) devices, and reinforced the two companies’ willingness to cooperate.

At MWC26, which opened on March 2 (local time) in Barcelona, Hong toured Samsung Electronics’ exhibition hall with Roh.

Hong tried the Galaxy S26 Ultra and showed strong interest in its "privacy display" feature. When Hong asked whether it was possible to cover only part of an app, Roh said it could cover an entire app or specific areas such as the notification bar, adding that the function Hong mentioned was also being prepared for future support.

Hong also wore the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro to test sound quality. He said, "The ambient is so good," and joked to Roh, "I should buy one for my daughter. Can’t you give me a discount?" Roh responded, "The (discount) goes in right away."

He also went on to try a Galaxy XR device. Wearing the XR headset, Hong said, "Take me to Sagrada Familia," then turned his head and moved his hands to look around the space.

After a Samsung Electronics official, seeing how absorbed he was, said, "It looks like you’ve left for Sagrada and don’t plan to come back," Hong said, "It’s really great. It’s much better than I thought. It feels like it has become a lot lighter." He then smiled at Roh and said, "There’s really a lot I want."
