Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, said on Monday it will run a large-scale pickup promotion in cooperation with coffee franchise MegaMGC Coffee.

Baemin will hold a "Hot Americano for 100 won" deal from Monday through Jan. 25 and sell Americanos for 100 won on a first-come, first-served basis. Even if the limited quantity runs out, customers can buy an Americano once a day for 1,000 won (regular price 1,700 won) during the same period.

From Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, it will continue selling hot Americanos for 1,000 won and offer a 10 percent discount on all menu items. The promotion will run at about 2,000 MegaMGC Coffee stores nationwide, and Baemin plans to improve user convenience through measures including dedicated icons on its "pickup map" and an "get alerts" service.

Baemin has continued to invest since rebranding its takeout service as "Pickup" last year, including upgrading its location-based search function. Pickup orders in the cafe category have now surpassed 2,000,000 per month, showing steep growth.

Choi Jong-hyuk, head of Woowa Brothers' Easy Pickup TF, said it plans to continue discount events this month in collaboration with various brands in addition to MegaMGC Coffee. "Through the pickup service, we will seek to boost store owners' sales and customer satisfaction at the same time," he said.
