Veeam Software, a data resilience solutions company, said on Sunday it has appointed Hong Seong-gu as the new head of its Korea office.
Veeam Software provides resilience, security, governance and privacy solutions to help ensure safety, compliance and auditability in large-scale AI environments.
Hong has more than 29 years of experience in the enterprise technology industry. Before joining Veeam Software, he served as head of DataStax Korea and head of MariaDB Corporation Korea. At Oracle, he worked as an executive director and head of a sales division responsible for Oracle's full product portfolio for major South Korean conglomerates.
He also held leadership and sales roles at Palo Alto Networks, F5 Networks and BMC Software.
Hong said Veeam Software's data resilience vision perfectly matches the needs of South Korean companies facing increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while modernising IT infrastructure, accelerating cloud adoption and embracing AI-driven innovation. He said he was honoured to join Veeam Software as these trends reshape how businesses operate, and pledged to work with customers, alliances and channel partners to actively support South Korean companies in taking data resilience to the next level.
