AI music generator Suno has reached 2 million paid subscribers and annual recurring revenue of $300 million, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 27.

Three months ago, Suno announced it had raised $250 million, valuing the company at $2.45 billion. Annual revenue was about $200 million at the time. In just three months, paid subscribers rose by 1 million, showing rapid growth.

The company said Suno is an AI platform that generates music using natural-language prompts, enabling people with no music experience to easily produce audio.

AI music created by Suno delivers sound realistic enough to appear on Spotify and Billboard charts and has achieved commercial success, TechCrunch reported.

But critics have also raised concerns that the Suno platform learns from existing music and infringes copyrights. Warner Music Group sued Suno for copyright infringement, and the two sides recently reached a settlement allowing Warner Music recordings to be used in Suno's AI model.
