IBK Bank said on Dec. 2 it supplied 2.5 trillion won in venture capital to innovative venture startups from January 2023 to November this year.

The bank provided venture capital to about 3,000 companies during the period. It supplied 764.1 billion won in 2023, 986.5 billion won in 2024 and a cumulative 809.6 billion won as of November 2025. It plans to supply an additional 140 billion won by the end of this month.

The bank said 34 companies that received venture capital since 2023, including Raontech in displays, ASICLAND in semiconductors, APR in cosmetics, Graphy in materials, AutoCrypt in security and G2GBIO in biotech, have completed listings.

It said these results reflect support for overcoming the valley of death and scaling up for small and mid-sized firms with innovative technology. It also said they are the outcome of the efforts and interest of bank president Kim Sung-tae, who has stressed the role of venture capital.

A bank official said it will actively support firms with innovative technology so they can gain a growth ladder. The official said it will expand venture capital supply to help activate productive finance.
