MG Community Credit Cooperatives Central Federation said on Thursday it will hold regional briefings across six areas nationwide through Jan. 29 to share progress by the MG Community Credit Cooperatives Vision 2030 Committee and gather opinions by region.
The briefings were arranged to share with local branches the results of discussions by the Vision 2030 Committee, launched in October last year, and to build consensus on the cooperatives’ mid- to long-term development direction.
The sessions will be held sequentially across six areas: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon and Incheon; Jeju; Gwangju-Jeonnam and Jeonbuk; Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam and Chungbuk; Daegu and North Gyeongsang; and Ulsan, South Gyeongsang and Busan. Attendees are expected to include heads of city, county and district councils, as well as local chairmen.
The briefings will include an explanation of the purpose of operating the Vision 2030 Committee, an introduction to key content in the final report, and Q&A and opinion gathering. The various views collected from local sites will be reflected in future discussions on policy and institutional improvements.
It also plans to collect online feedback from employees of MG Community Credit Cooperatives and the central federation during the briefing period to hear a broader range of on-site opinions.
An official at MG Community Credit Cooperatives Central Federation said the briefings are intended to hear voices from the field directly and to flesh out effective future strategies. The official added the federation expects the sessions to become a turning point leading to organization-wide improvements and future innovation.
