Nayoonhoo, newly appointed chairman of the SW Convergence Council

The Software Convergence Council under the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA) appointed Nayoonhoo, CEO of Almond, as its eighth chairman, it said on Wednesday.

Almond is a pet tech company that provides an AI-based biosignal monitoring solution for managing pet health called Doctor Almond.

The new chairman said, "I will work to ensure we can achieve qualitative growth that leads the AI era, beyond expanding in scale, by strengthening each member company's capabilities and promoting convergence between different industries."

Since its launch in 2011, the SW Convergence Council has carried out various activities to expand demand markets for SW convergence services and energise business. The council comprises about 50 member companies. It continues efforts including empirical analysis and information sharing on SW convergence technology, industry information exchanges and activities to advance the sector.
