Musinsa said on December 2 it will open the Musinsa Megastore Yongsan and the Musinsa Standard Ipark Mall Yongsan on December 11 at Yongsan Ipark Mall in Seoul.

The site is the first combined mall that brings together Musinsa Store and Musinsa Standard in one space. It is also the largest offline store Musinsa has launched. The space covers about 1,000 pyeong and is the largest single-brand store in Ipark Mall.

Musinsa chose Yongsan as the first Megastore location because of the district’s commercial characteristics. Yongsan attracts office workers, families, people in their 20s and 30s, and foreign visitors in balanced numbers. It is seen as an area with geographic strengths that draw people from the Seoul metropolitan area, other regions and abroad.

The Musinsa Megastore Yongsan recreates Musinsa’s online curation offline. It gathers categories such as Musinsa Girls, Musinsa Bag and Cap Club, Musinsa Young, Musinsa Work and Formal, Musinsa for Woman, Musinsa Player and Sneakers Zone. It also introduces about 200 brands.

A popup zone inside the store will host new content every month. The grand opening on December 11 will feature the Hello Yongsan, Hello Player popup. It will showcase official uniforms from popular sports teams in baseball, football and skiing. Adidas will also run its FUN BEYOND RULES popup.

The Musinsa Standard Ipark Mall Yongsan outlet brings together the full lineup, including mens, womens, kids, beauty, home and sports items. It offers daily wear and seasonal items at what it describes as reasonable prices.

Musinsa has applied the convenience and benefits of its online store to the offline site. Customers can scan QR codes placed throughout the store to check the best available prices, stock levels, styling content and reviews. The store also supports four languages for foreign visitors.

Opening events are planned. On December 11 and 12, Musinsa will sell a Mega Bag containing items from partner brands and Musinsa Standard for 49,900 won, compared with a value of 400,000 won. It will also give 100 customers a 50 percent discount coupon each day through December 14 and offer offline-only discounted items.

A Musinsa official said the Musinsa Megastore Yongsan is a complete space that concentrates the company’s curation experience from online to offline. The official said Musinsa will make Yongsan a core base for K-fashion and expand contact points with brands and customers.
