An analysis said that even if investors missed the chance to buy XRP around $1, they do not need to wait for it to fall back to the same level.
On Oct. 19 local time, blockchain media outlet The Crypto Basic reported that cryptocurrency analyst Dennis Liu said that, given current market conditions, $1.25 for XRP could be a more favorable entry zone than the past $1 low.
What Liu focused on was a change in the market environment rather than price. He said recovery signals in bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market are now clearer than when XRP fell to around $1. He explained that while the price is higher than the low, the conditions for buying have improved when considering the possibility of a market recovery.
He stressed that a low price does not necessarily mean a good buying opportunity. Even if the price is cheap, he said, it can be difficult to buy without enough confidence in a market recovery. He said investors should look not only at XRP's price but also at bitcoin's trend and the overall market direction.
As of that day, XRP traded at about $1.30, with a 24-hour price range of $1.29 to $1.35. Bitcoin was about $81,500, much higher than $60,000, which Liu presented as a past benchmark for comparison.
For XRP to move from $1.30 to $1.25, it would need to fall about 4 percent. To drop to $1, it would need to decline about 23 percent. Liu's analysis is interpreted as saying that, rather than buying unconditionally at the current price, investors should assess entry conditions around $1.25 during a pullback.
This view is based on the premise that bitcoin and the broader market recovery continues. If bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market clearly weaken again, the basis used to justify entry at a higher price could also weaken. Liu also said that $1.25 does not automatically become a safer price just because it is higher.
Ultimately, the analysis focuses on the idea that market structure is more important than XRP's low price level. It is interpreted as a signal to investors who missed buying at $1 to watch the $1.25 pullback zone, along with whether the market recovery trend holds, rather than waiting only for a retest of the prior low.
If you missed XRP at the $1 bottom, $1.25 is a better bet than that bottom was. Back then Bitcoin was near 60K and a bounce felt like maybe a 30% chance. With the bull run confirmed, I'd put it closer to 70%
